Well the wedding of the century was quite something and if you thought it was just the UK that was celebrating then you’d be wrong.

Among the private parties was one hosted by fine jewellers Boodles of Grafton Street. A sea of festive bunting greeted fashion forward guests on their arrival to a morning of light hearted fun where Irish style watchers reported “en famille” on the fashion event of the decade.

Among those gathered with the event hostess, Anne Marie Boyhan of WhatSheWears.ie, were some of Ireland’s most takented fashion designers, editors, journalists, bloggers, stylists and aficionados including Jennifer Rothwell and milliners Martha Lynn and Sarah McGahon (Sarah made Amy Huberman’s Royal Wedding hat).

Pimms and Champagne accompanied by Afternoon Tea (served on fine boned china) of gourmet cucumber and smoked salmon finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with tea infused jam and Devonshire clotted cream, mini lemon drizzled queen caked and bite size Victoria sponge cakes all set the tone for a memorable occasion.
