Sunday Lunch

Bistro One in leafy Foxrock was the setting for the charity lunch yesterday in aid of the Children's Sunshine Hospice fundraising project. Special guest at the event was rugby legend Sir Clive Woodward, coach of the Lions team, who was accompanied by his lovely wife Lady Jayne.

The society event was hosted by Sharon Smurfit, daughter of Dr. Michael and Norma, and raised much needed funds for the development of Ireland's first paliative care unit at the Children's Sunshine Home in Leopardstown.

Those in the luncheon party included Renards owner Robbie Fox and wife Martina, Denis and Caroline Desmond of MCD, property developer Johnny Ronan (and his Mercedes Maybach!) and society doyens Jackie Rafter and Mary Kavanagh.

The event was a huge success and a great kick start to the campaign which will be launched on May 5th by An Tániste Mary Harney.
