CLICK Magazine, launched this week, is Ireland’s first Movies, Games and Gadgets Magazine. The glossy, full colour CLICK offers 130 pages packed with news, previews, reviews, features and competitions, for a cover price of just €4.95. CLICK’s aim is to help its readers make informed buying decisions and get the most from their choice of entertainment.
A launch event was held in The Sycamore in Temple Bar, supported by Corona Extra. Guests included TV’s Lucy Kennedy, Chef Andrew Rudd, radio presenter Darren Kennedy, and the Irish Rat Pack’s Jason O’Callaghan who is putting the finishing touches to his new show, the Kings of Swing which will tour the country next year.
Although aimed primarily at the 18 to 35 age group, male and female, the breadth of content in CLICK will lend it a broad appeal. Published in an A4 format, 6 times annually, 20,000 copies of CLICK will hit newsstands nationally this week – via Easons, Newspread and independent channels. Tesco will offer this first issue of CLICK at a special introductory price of €3.95.
The cover of this first issue of CLICK features ‘Call of Duty 5’, one of the year’s biggest blockbuster games, and one of the many games reviewed inside. CLICK also gives the low down on the Nokia N96, compares home cinema systems, has an interview with Dylan Moran, a preview of Benjamin Button, and Lucy Kennedy lists her top ten movies.
“It’s about time that there was an Irish published magazine for Irish movies, games and gadget fans,” said Editor Mark Scanlon. “We’ve brought together the best and brightest content, in a superb package, and we’re already getting increased orders for out next issue which comes out at the end of February 2009”
