At the launch party for Love in a Damp climate were: 1. Ray D’arcy and Quentin Fottrell; 2. Claudia Carroll; 3. Eimear Nic An Bhaird and Anne-Marie Power.
Writer, broadcaster and all round bon vivant Quentin Fottrell recently celebrated the publishing of his first book, Love in a Damp Climate, with a party in l’Gueuleton restaurant. For over 7 years, Quentin has been dishing out his words of wisdom to the worried on our national airwaves and through his cult-hit website, WorldWeary.com. It is through this experience that he has produced this funny, heart warming and educational book, subtitled “The Dating Game...Irish Style”.
Packed to capacity with those from the worlds of media, the arts and literature (a testament to the authors popularity) the evening was a hoot with Ray d’Arcy doing the honours as guest speaker. Among the guests were Claudia Carroll, Olivia Morahan and husband Fergal Noonan, publicists Nik Quaife and Roisin Ni Mhordha, Hilary Cahill and Jo O’Donoghue.
Published by Currach Press, it’s in all good bookshops now.
