Hilton Re-launch

At the Hilton were: 1. Sharon Daly and Grainne O’Gorman; 2. Phillipa Galligan and Lucy Cargill.

The Hilton Dublin recently celebrated the completion of its €7.5 million refurbishment as invited guests enjoyed an evening of delicious cocktails, sumptuous canapés and live entertainment at the new-look canal side hotel. Almost 500 guests were in attendance including representatives from a number of embassies.

Delicious food stations showcasing the best of the new Usice menu were dotted around the ground floor of the hotel and included mini Irish stew, creamy seafood chowder plus delicious sweet treats. Champagne was served from a Piper-Heidsieck Ice Bar, which was specially created for the evening. Guests also enjoyed cocktails from the new Stíl Bar.

Entertainment on the night was provided by Dublin based DJ, Mo Kelly, who performed in the newly renovated Stíl Bar, while elsewhere in the Charlemount Suite, international act Andi Joseph and The Shrimps were on hand to keep the party goers amused.

There were also a number of great prizes up for grabs. Each guest was presented with a key card on arrival to try their luck in four special locks - one card unlocked each of the doors. Celebrity stylist, Cathy O’Connor was the lucky winner of the trip to Rome while Maura Watson from Kennet Partners won the Mallorca trip, Anna Barton from ACC bank will be paying a visit to Edinburgh shortly and joint winners, Ciara Feely and Johanne Fagan won a trip to the Mount Juliet Conrad in Kilkenny.

Erwin Verhoog, General Manager of Hilton Dublin welcomed his esteemed guests, saying, “We couldn’t have imagined a better turn out this evening, we are delighted you are all here to celebrate the refurbishment of the Hilton Dublin with us and hope you have a very enjoyable evening.”
