The Sycamore

Pictured at the preview were: 1. Club owner Conor Martin with Etain Boyd; 2. Elaine Byrne, Andrew Rudd and Triona McCarthy.

The Sycamore, Dublin’s newest members club and roof top bar, was previewed to invited guests this week. Set to become one of Dublin's most desirable venues, The Sycamore offers an intimate and wonderfully chic environment through a series of relaxing lounges, a gallery space and an open-air penthouse bar. Add to this the dedicated personal service and the result is a perfect haven, by day or night.

Accessed from a private lobby on Sycamore Street, in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar, the 4,500 sq ft Sycamore extends across the top three floors of The Purty Kitchen. Club members can access the lobby and use the club lift by swiping their digital membership fob. Club staff will be alerted as soon as the membership fob is swiped, ensuring that members are expected and greeted on arrival. Sycamore membership will be by invitation only.

Among the guests there this week for the exclusive preview were Haley Rock, Joe O’Shea, model Dervla Hogan, Ireland AM’s Andrew Rudd, Bea Kelleher (fresh from judging at the Fringe Festival) and fashionista Maria Fusco. Etain Boyd was also there and thrilled with news of her latest business venture – she has just taken over the Bella Donna beauty salon in Rathmines, soon to be renamed Urban Beauty. Eoghan Higgins was also making his debut as new deputy editor of Image magazine.

With a capacity of 250, the club will come into its own after dark. The top floor bar features a stunning oval aperture, heated seats and restored brick feature walls. The gallery space will be curated by Karen Regan, with new exhibitions being mounted on a fortnightly basis. In a break from tradition, no commission will be charged on sales, making the Sycamore space especially desirable to up and coming artists.
