Star Trek fans were out
in force for the recent Irish premiere screening of the latest Star Trek
offering "Star Trek into Darkness",
The
story tells of the crew of the Enterprise being called back home, where
they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has
detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state
of crisis.
With
a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to
capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into
an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will
be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left:
his crew.
Cineworld was the place
to be for the premiere and guests included TV3's martin King, who was
accompanied by boys Alex and Matthew, model Carl Shabaan and girlfriend Audrey
Hamilton, Fair City actor Paddy Fitzpatrick as well as News Talk presenter Tom
Dunne, actor Liam Cunningham and his son Sean, model Gail Kaneswaren and
boyfriend Henry Daly.
