Man, completed before the Olympic games began, he describes her as
‘Ireland’s greatest contemporary sportsperson’ and he was delighted that she
agreed to do the honours.
At 77, Jimmy
has the distinction of being the longest-serving sports commentator in the
English-speaking world. Other big
sporting names at the launch included Eamonn Coughlan, Paul McGrath and Bernard
Dunne.
