The launch of Arthur’s Day 2013 took place at Hogan’s recently.  A showcase of the best of Ireland’s creativity and talent from the world of music and culture, Arthur’s Day will take place on Thursday 26th September across numerous venues in Ireland and abroad.

Diary Date

For one night only, before the release of THE DICTATOR hits cinemas (May 16)  4 cinemas in Ireland will host special screenings with a live link  in to  the World Premiere screening in London at the Royal Festival.


The Eye Cinemas in Galway, the Odyssey Cinema in Belfast, the Omniplex in Cork  and limited number of tickets to  the Irish Premiere Screening at The Savoy.


Doors for this special event open at 6pm with a live link in till 7.15pm where you can experience the red carpet presented by Alex Zane and then see the film first.  For more details and to book tickets please check out the respective cinema websites and box offices.

Diary Date


Join the UCD School of Architecture’s Centenary Celebrations this spring with a special evening of music and song in the unique setting of the Memorial Hall, UCD Richview Campus, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14 on Thursday, 22nd March at 7pm.

Sit back and relax while Desmond Earley performs two French harpsichord works. The UCD Choral Scholars will then entertain you with a selection of vocal works, a treat not to be missed. The evening will conclude with a delightful performance by Eoin Dillon, Graham Watson, Steve Larkin and Daire Bracken with a selection of modern and 18th century Irish traditional tunes.

Pop-up restaurants have become hugely popular of late and a recent spin off has been the emergence of dining clubs. One of the best on the scene is the Sett Food Club and this weekend it hosts two evenings.

Diary Date

Pieta House, the suicide and self-harm crisis centre, is hosting its annual Darkness Into Light fundraising event and is calling on walkers, joggers and runners to take part! The event will take place in six locations around Ireland on Saturday, 7th May 2011.

Participants will begin the five kilometre course at 4am in darkness, and finish while the dawn is breaking. To register for Darkness Into Light 2011, visit www.pieta.ie.

This Easter Saturday (April 23rd) at Tripod Dublin, Peter Rock (of The Exchequer) and his brother Jason Rock, sons of Dickie Rock, along with Omar Bux of The Green Hen, will compete in a white collar boxing night in aid of A-Z children's charity, a charity which looks after HIV and AIDS infected orphans in Uganda.

Tickets are €30, which covers the cost of a child's medication for an entire year! Doors open at 7, event will run from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

IRFU Charitable Trust Table Quiz, Thursday 10 March from 7.30pm at
DTwo on Harcourt Street. Chris Conolly is organising this in order to take part in a 1,000km cycle across New Zealand.

There will be lots of great prizes on the night, including for the best placed teams, last placed team and best team name.There will also be a raffle with some valuable prizes up for grabs including an Irish rugby jersey signed by the Irish squad.
