Last night I went along to my last concert of the year and what an amazing event it was. Put together one of the best bands in the world and what surely must be one of the best venues in the world and you've got a memorable experience.
Coldplay (above, sorry for the poor quality pic!) were just so full of energy and the crowd of 10,000 went wild. The O2, as a venue, has to be seen to be believed and is a testament to Harry Crosbie, O2 and Live Nation.
I think I'll make this my last post for 2008 so I'd like to take this opp to thank you all for reading, e-mailing and whatnot and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy new year!
At the premiere were: 1. Rachel Kavanagh; 2. Nadine Wai O’Flynn and Astrid Brennan; 3. Natasha Rocca Devine.

Jacob’s Creek has partnered with AUSTRALIA, the new Baz Luhrmann film, as the exclusive global wine partner and to celebrate this Jacob’s Creek hosted a gala screening in Movies @ Dundrum and post screening party in Harvey Nichols.
Guests who attended included writer Marian Keyes, Karen Koster, models Joanne Dever and Rachel Wyse, Jayne O’Keeffe and Mike Reilly, Veronica Ryan, Sandra Byrne, Ben Bringer and Nadine Wai O’Flynn to name but a few. After the screening guests traversed the courtyard, which reflected scenes from the movie, and made their way to Harvey Nicks where Jacob’s Creek hosted an unforgettable party complete with didgeridoo player.
Starring two of the world’s biggest stars, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, AUSTRALIA is directed by Baz Luhrmann a revolutionary filmmaker at the peak of his career. The movie has already generated high awareness, and there is a sense of buzz and anticipation surrounding its official launch, scheduled for December 26th.
AUSTRALIA is an epic and romantic action adventure, set in that country on the explosive brink of World War II. In it, an English aristocrat (Kidman) travels to the faraway continent, where she meets a rough-hewn local (Jackman) and reluctantly agrees to join forces with him to save the land she inherited. Together, they embark upon a transforming journey across hundreds of miles of the world’s most beautiful yet unforgiving terrain, only to still face the bombing of the city of Darwin by the Japanese forces that attacked Pearl Harbour. With his new film, Luhrmann is painting on a vast canvas, creating a cinematic experience that brings together romance, drama, adventure and spectacle.
It’s an adventure as epic as the land in which its story unfolds.

.....
They say it's ASmallWorld (what do you mean you're not a member yet? It's jet-set baby!), and now it's a LittleBigPlanet after the people at Playstation have put their creative thinking caps on and come up with the latest game on the PS3.LittleBigPlanet not only enables players to play the game, but also provides them with the tools to create their own levels and share them with others on the PlayStationNetwork (PSN).
Comedian Jason Byrne, musician Cathy Davey, TV presenter Baz Ashmawy and DJ Ray Foley have created their very own LBP levels which are now available online and were revealed for the first time at an exclusive launch event in The Odeon, Harcourt Street last week.
Jason introduced ‘Annoyance’, a level that he says “brings out the evil” in him with a challenging mix of electric currents, fire and swinging monkeys. He’s also created a second level, ‘Gadgets’ which makes effective use of switches, bombs, rockets, hinges, springs and photos and is sure to entertain all those who play it online.
‘Baz’s Christmas Stocking’ presents a festive themed LBP level based in a winter wonderland where Sackboy has to follow Santa and deliver him some Panadol before he goes off on his Christmas eve travels.
Cathy Davey has created Oohland, a land with giant snails, monster slides, secret passages, frozen giant Oohmen, perilous plains and points a plenty.
Falling For Foley is Ray Foley’s world of puzzles, bad guys and poison gas that takes you to the four corners of the blank LittleBigPlanet canvas and manages to give players a sense of the sheer scale of possibility in the game's create mode - nothing is too small, and the only limit is your imagination!
Indeed, as big Bill Cullen would say, ya havta believe in yourself.
