Wax on

Co-owner of Urban Wax Rebecca Taplin captured with my gorgeous new Nokia 7610

It's Friday, hurrah! I've had a long, but interesting, week and will certainly appreciate the chance to rest and recharge. For a long time I've been singing the praise of Thursdays and trying to market it as the unofficial start of the weekend. My hard work is paying off as each Thursday my posse of party people gets bigger and bigger.

We kicked off proceedings with a trip to Urban Wax. No, I wasn't have anything depleted but thought it important to be in-the-know about such things. After my recent experience at the all-girl OPI launch I brought along my pal Gareth Gleeson. Safety in mumbers, so to speak.

Well known as the number one waxing specialists among Ireland's fashionista's and most stylish, Urban Wax has extended it's range of treatments in celebration of Valentine's Day and to launch their new premises in 5 Johnson's Place, beside Dylan Bradshaw. Sure to be a hit this for Valentine's is their 'Outrageous' range that sees a Brazilian Wax followed by the application of Swarovski Crystals in a number of shapes and fashion. You can choose from the Urban Minx, a landing strip wax with the finest of Swarovski crystals, The Urban Show Girl, a spray fountain shape, or indeed, the City Of Love, a love heart detailed in red Swarovski crystals. Very bling bling!

Owned and managed by Rebecca Taplin and Jennifer Treanor, both from Dublin, Urban Wax is a perfect example of filling a niche in the beauty market and developing services at a fast pace to keep up with trends and fashions in the fast paced world of beauty treatments. In business together for just over 3 years, Rebecca and Jennifer have strong loyal client base and go to great lengths to ensure that they are up to date with international waxing trends and tastes. So if you want to feel smoother than a glass of Veuve Clicquot get your booty down to Urban Wax, tout de suite.

Later on in the night we bumped into Frances Winston and Fergal Breen, who joined us later at Mostly B, the super club night at The Hub.
