The naissance of the latest new Gastro pub in North Dublin was celebrated recently with the new look Botanic House in Glasnevin.  This place has always been a familiar and friendly façade on the busy Botanic Road and now offers a superb Gastro menu served 7 days a week overseen by chef Callum Watson, who has worked for Marco Pierre White as Head Chef in many of his restaurants.

Offering a restaurant quality menu to suit all tastes at a reasonable price with excellent service standards, the aim of the new management team at Botanic House is to become a leading venue for food. With years of experience in the bar and restaurant trade managing some of London’s most exciting venues, this team are bringing their experience to revitalise one of  Dublin’s oldest establishments.

A host of familiar faces from Dublin’s social scene attended the Botanic Bar with live entertainment and great food. Guests on the night included Niall Quinn and wife Gillian, Boyband Level 5 (just released their new single with Mary Byrne for Christmas) and Claire Malone.

Discerning drinkers have a new temple to worship at with Dublin’s newest cocktail emporium (and best kept secret) the Vintage Cocktail Club (VCC).  Guests on the night included Bressie, actor Chris O’Dowd, Mary Scott of TV3’s Head Chef fame; model Julie Kavanagh, TV and radio presenter Aidan Power and Today FM’s Ray Foley.

Situated in the heart of Dublin’s city centre in Crown Alley, Dublin 2 the stylish new venue is spread over three floors and offers a unique nightlife experience like never before seen in Ireland.  As the name suggests it’s vintage by nature with quirky decor and a laid back, speakeasy vibe.

Upon arrival, guests were treated to a selection of VCC’s cocktails all of which were created by VCC’s Head Mixologist and General Manager, Gareth Lambe. The party atmosphere was also kept in full swing with entertainment on the night by Ireland’s leading ragtime pianist Colm ‘Stride’ O’Brien.

If you’re looking for brash cocktails with loud attitude then keep walking, chances are you’ll have missed VCC’s discreet doorway presence anyway.

After much hype new bar and club Wilde has seen its official launch on the Dublin social scene.  The sound of beating drums, Fire eaters, stilt walkers, snake charmers and dancers greeted guests upon arrival with no expense spared on the lavish soiree.

Creating the most stunning floral arrangements, Elegant Flowers had the venue resemble an Aladdin’s Cave. Absolut cocktails flowed all night with Berry Mojito’s and Mango & Apple Martini’s being the favourites. Wilde also spoiled its guests with exclusive catering from Ali Davis who flew in celebratory chef Kristen Zschokke to give their guests delicious, decadent, food.

The venue will operate as an upmarket bar in the early evenings before introducing an eclectic entertainment programme and club elements later in the night.  Open 7 nights a week from 6pm until late, Wilde will have an exciting and varied entertainment programme catering for all tastes.
