If you
want to get ahead, get a hat. Milliner Sarah
McGahon launched her latest collection of headwear at a show in Medley
recently. Sarah makes gorgeous hats and
has had a stellar list of celebrity clients (whilst doing her training she made
Hats for the Kylie world tour, Mick Jagger and Dita Von Teese amongst others).
Since
setting up her own studio her hats have been adorned by stylish people such as
Amy Huberman and none other than Lady Gaga.
Recently
Sarah launched a world-first, her "Chrysalis" collection, a series of
eye-catching hats, that change once they are on the head. Fashion.ie was quoted
as saying "Sarah's genius gives us an innovative and
recession-friendly product."
Specialising
in haute couture millinery, Sarah McGahon also has a boutique collection which
she hires out. She loves to support other new milliners and gives great
advice through her twitter profile, @SecretMilliner.
Publisher
Edward Smith of Suburbia magazine acted as MC for the evening. Brenda Mulvill Kelly from Galway was in town
and attended with her pal Sharon Bannerton, while Judith Giltinane was picking up some pieces for the upcoming Derby along with Nastasha Earley.
