The
programme for the 11th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival was launched in
the Lighthouse Cinema with Irish actors Killian Scott (Love/Hate) and Kelly Campbell
(One Hundred Mornings), both of whom have films in the Festival.
The
Jameson Dublin International Film Festival will welcome a stunning array of
filmmaking talent to Dublin this year including acting legends such as Tim
Roth, Gabriel Byrne and Frank Langella and directing powerhouses Olivier
Assayas, Costa-Gavras and Joss Whedon.
As well
as that talent there will be events showcasing the art of screenwriting with
Tobias Lindholm (Borgen) and Robert Towne (Chinatown, Shampoo), and casting
with Margery Simkin (Top Gun, Erin Brockovich). One of the highlights of
this year’s festival programme is Hollywood star Danny DeVito attending a
special Jameson Cult Film Club screening of the 1997 classic, LA Confidential
on Thursday 21st February.
Guests
will also be treated to an on-stage Q&A with the actor-director-producer.
