Cannonball 5

South Anne Street in Dublin 2 was a sight to behold as high performance cars and high performance party people descended on Indie Dhaba restaurant to officially launch CANNONBALL 5.

CANNONBALL is apparently the largest organised road trip in Europe and the most exciting motoring and social event of the year with most of the world’s top mark cars 160 in total such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, McLaren, Porsche, Masseratti, Rolls Royce and Bentley.  This year the start line for CANNONBALL will be at Mondello race track in Kildare on Friday August 23rd

Fans can experience the thrill of the chase as the finest cars on the planet are put through their paces, there will be a host of celebrities and Ryan Tubridy will broadcast his 2fm morning show live from Mondello at the start line.

Over 100,000 people will line the streets as CANNONBALL roars through towns and counties in spectacular style with festivals and Gatherings all over the country.  CANNONBALL 5 will raise money for Laura Lynn which supports children with life limiting conditions and their families by providing high quality transitional care, home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care.

Renault Ireland rolled out the red carpet at The Convention Centre to launch its brand new design fourth generation Clio. The sexy design will definitely turn heads when it hits Irish roads in early 2013.  Over 12 million Clios have been sold since it first launched in Paris in 1990, and this latest model design is a real stunner!

Dublin footballer Alan Brogan, model Alison Canavan, Elaine Butler Doolin and mentalist Keith Barry and his wife Mairead were there for the new reveal on the night. Guests sipped Clio Royale cocktails and dined on mini gourmet plates as the FourPlay DJs encouraged guests to hit the dance floor.

New Audi A3

Audi Centre in Ballsbridge played host to over 100 guests for the celebratory launch of the all-new Audi A3 Hatchback.  Richard Hemming of Audi Centre was joined by Audi ambassador Rachel Allen at the unveiling of Audi’s latest embodiment of Vorsprung durch Technik.

The new A3 is available with a choice of advanced petrol and diesel engines – from the turbocharged 1.4 TESI to the 2.0 TDI.   Offering exceptional efficiency and performance, the new model is 80kgs lighter than its predecessor, with no compromise on safety.

Guests on the evening enjoyed special offers and prizes from Audi Centre’s exclusive partners including Conrad Dublin Hotel, Brown Cow, Vodafone and fashion retailer Fran & Jane.

Dublin celebrated the glitz and glamour of Formula 1 at the launch of Bavaria City Racing. A host of well known faces descended on CHQ Dublin where details of the event and the first F1 team coming to Dublin were revealed.

You’re Fired presenter Anton Savage was MC on the night while DJ Mo Kelly provided the entertainment. Guests on the night included, models Jenny Lee Masterson, Sarah Morrissey, Declan Leavy and Norman Pratt along with the original Bavaria Babes, Dutch beauties Femke Weijenburg and Emmy de Wit who were joined by a number of Irish Bavaria Babes on the night.

Bavaria City Racing Dublin takes place June 3rd 2012 bringing Formula 1 to the streets of Dublin for the first time. Over 150,000 people are expected to line the streets next June to see unprecedented demonstrations by international racing cars and drivers from the highest racing classes. www.bavariacityracing.ie

A Little Luxury

Fans of Cathy Davey got a rare treat as Lexus Ireland hosted a number of exclusive concerts with the singer to celebrate the launch of the new Lexus CT 200h. The divine Ms. D performed at five venues throughout Ireland as part of the Little Luxury tour with the event at Blackrock Lexus serving as the debut.

The exclusive invite only events were an evening of music, entertainment, luxury and a chance for guests to be the first to see the Lexus CT Hybrid up close in advance of its arrival in early 2011 as well as hear tracks from Cathy’s new album ‘The Nameless’. Among the lucky guests were rugby stars Brian O’Driscoll and Luke Fitzgerald, Clodagh Egan and Graeme Slattery, stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick and Joe Kinsella.
